Terrorism and Hatred

Dear friends, colleagues, and honorable clients,

Like most of you all over the world, we watched today in stunned disbelief the footage from New York of the second plane crashing into the South Building of the World Trade Center, and the unimaginable collapse of both 110-story towers. An entire nation came to a standstill.

Our hearts and thoughts go out to all those who have become victims of these horrific attacks, from family members and loved ones to witnesses.

Deeply troubling is the loss of an estimated 200 New York Fire/EMS and Police personnel. We pray for the survival and rescue of every one of those unaccounted for.

We can only hope that such events will not take place again anywhere in the world. The only way we can we can put a stop to terrorism is by joining together.

May God protect us all from hatred and fanaticism.

Dear Gunnar,

To the Fire/EMS/Police and their families we share our sympathy with families and all those who perished in these terrorists & barbaric attacks.

We all share our sympathy, solidarity and support to the families for the profound and grief of our fellow Firefighters and brothers who with gallant and courage gave their lives to safe that of others.

We will surely remember them in our prayers and may God help all others who are continuing where their brothers had left.

Peace be with you,

Kindest regards
Walter

Dear Gunnar

Thank you for your e-mail. We too are stunned by the awful events of the
last few days. It is difficult to comprehend and our thoughts and prayers
are with all the victims and their relations and friends.

As we begin to emerge from the shock so the determination to ensure such an
incident cannot happen again gets stronger and stronger. There will
undoubtedly be many lessons to learn from those who are responding to this
tragedy.

We share your views and are determined to do what we can to help.

Sincerely

Dear Friends,

We are equally saddened and watch the events on T.V. with utter disbelief. No
one else can know better than we in India, what terrorism and hatred can do
to the people and their psyche. In fact our P.M. has been raising the need
for joining hands to combat terrorism.

While we join you in prayers for the rescue and the survival of those still
unaccounted for yet we believe it is not too late for the US to take a lead
even now and support proactive measures even if that amounts to violation of
human rights of some. After all taking over of the skies by the US forces
and order to shoot would have resulted in infringement of Human rights of
some. But for the safety of the general innocent people at large we do have
to tolerate such violations.

We are one with you and in this moment of grave national crisis and
subsequently we would be happy to join hands with you in what ever way you
think our concerns could be expressed in practical terms. We of course would
not like to just organise demonstrations or rallies.

With best wishes, I am sharing this communication with some other friends.
Yours sincerely,

well said, and thanks for the word. It is a fact that the only hope and
protection we have in this country, as well as for eternity, is in Almighty
God. Instead of using his name and the name of his son as cursing and
swearing, may we all join in humbling ourselves before him in repentance,
asking for his leadership, guidance, direction, and protective hand. He
alone can protect us by changing the hearts of all men, starting with ours.

God bless us, forgive us, and lead us to forgive those who've wronged us.
As he said in his word, "Vengence is mine, saith the Lord of Hosts; I will
repay." What we've seen is the natural end result of lives built on hatred,
unforgiveness, grudges, and a focused path of vengence on the part of a few.
We need not stoop to such a level in our grief and anger. Again, as
admonished by God's word, "Be angry and sin not."

Also, let it be known that Almighty God is still in control, Satan and evil
are a defeated foe, and the battle has already been won. As awful as is
this event, God is already using it to bring a stiff-necked and recalcitrant
people to their knees and back to him, and in so doing, is bringing good out
of this numbing national tragedy. May God's grace and hand of protection
once again fall on these United States -- ONE NATION UNDER GOD INDIVISIBLE!

Dear college,

thanks for Your E-mail from September the 12th. I want You to know that me,
personally, my institution (Faculty of Civil Engineering, University of
Split, Croatia) and whole Croatian people feel deep regret and condolence
with You and share your sorrow and prayers for victims. You may count on
any kind of help, if you think that we can help somehow. At last TIEMS
conference in Oslo we were taking about possible terrorist attacks,
especially on cyber space, but we could have not even dreamed about such
thing.

Perhaps, it is not a right moment, but I want You to remained that my
colleges and me work on the disaster communication problems and all
experience from this field are precious to us. I am free to believe that
some materials are available to You, so please could You pass it to us, so
we can include into our project. In Oslo, we were discussing about using
cell-phones in catastrophes, and as we have seen there were a lot of
cell-phone usage by plain victims, buried firefighters and policemen,
therefore such experience will be valuable to us.

We hope that God will protect us from similar accidents, but at the same
time not excluding our responsibility from maximum attention.

Sencerely,

Thank you so much for the beautiful prayer; it is most welcome and is so
much better than I was doing. I learned today that a friend, Chief Downey
NYFD was killed in the WTC collapse as well as the entire main office of the
Emergency Services headquarters located in WTC. These folks were colleagues
from my emergency support work. Thank you for lifting them up in your
thoughts and prayers.

lives of thousands of innocent people has put the world into the state of
shock and mourning .It is a worst case scenario of aviation caused
destructions and human casualties of unprecedented magnitude instigated by
the evils of mankind. My heartfelt condolences !

Dear Mr. Kuepper,

IASA (International Aviation Safety Association) thanks you for your
supportive words.

It is my view that the horror that has been perpetrated on United States
soil, has also been perpetrated on every free nation's soil around the
globe. I am physically located just 45 miles north of NYC, and have been
personally effected by this horror as well.

God's Speed to all those who have lost their lives in such a horrific way,
and God Bless all those who are now left in the wake of this tragedy to
begin the process of crawling forward, in the face of such adversity.

I send my sincere condolence.

My president also expressed to the people this morning "deep regret and sympathy

I am just stunned...

I hope you recover soon and find out who's responsible for this terrorism act and
bring them to the justice in the very near future.
