1981, May 26th. U.S. aircraft carrier Nimitz: jet fighter crashed on deck; 14 people died.

1999, December 9th. U.S., California, off San Diego: A CH-46 Sea Knight Helicopter crashed into the Ocean; 7 Marines died

2000, April 8th. U.S., Arizona: V-22 Osprey crashed; all 19 Marines aboard died

2000, June 18th U.S., Pennsylvania, near Philadelphia: A Navy F-14 Tomcat crashed during an air show; 2 people died

2000, August 10th U.S., Texas, off Corpus Christi: A Navy MH-53E Sea Dragon helicopter crashed into the Gulf of Mexico; 4 people died

2000, August 28th U.S., Texas, near Tulia: Air Force F-16 crashed, the pilot died

2000, December 11th U.S., North Carolina: a V-22 tilt-rotor Osprey crashed, 4 Marines died


2001, January 4th. China, central region of Henan: two Chinese Air Force planes crashed (collided?), the crews of 15 and 6 people on the ground died

2001, January 7th. Bangladesh, Zia International Airport: Bangladesh Air Force FT-7 crashed on take-off; both crew ejected, one of them survived

2001, January 12th. Korea, Osan AFB: an USAF A-10A of the 25th FS crashed; the pilot ejected safely

2001, January 17th. Turkey, Ankara region: a Turkish Air Force F-4E crashed into a mountain 90 miles southwest of Ankara; both crew members died

2001, February 12th U.S., Hawaii: Two UH-60 Black Hawk helicopters crashed; 6 Army soldiers died

2001, February 21st U.S., Florida, off Jacksonville: A Navy T-45A Goshawk jet crashed into the Atlantic, 2 people died

2001, March 4th U.S., Georgia, Unadilla: A Florida National Guard C-23 Sherpa aircraft traveling from Florida to Virginia crashed und burst into flames around 10 a.m. near Unadilla, a town in central Georgia. All 21 military personnel aboard, including the crew of three were killed.

2001, March 26th. U.K. Scotland, Highlands: Two USAF F-15 C Fighters from their base in Lakenheath, near London, went missing during a low-level routine exercise on Monday when they lost radio and radar contact with RAF ground staff at about 1.15 p.m. A massive SAR operation is on ist way.

2001, March 26th. Germany, Schwabach: a US Army twin-engine prop RC-12 aerial reconnaissance plane (military version of a Beachcraft twin engine propeller aircraft), assigned to the 205th. Military Intelligence Brigade in Wiesbaden, Germany, crashed on landing approach at Nuremberg airport
