1968 November 22nd. - Israel, Jerusalem, Jewish sector: car bomb; 12 people died.

1975 July 4th. - Israel, Jerusalem, Zion Square: 14 people died and 80 were injured.

1978 February 14th. - Israel, Jerusalem: bus bomb; 2 people died and 35 were injured.

1978 March 11th. - Israel, near Tel Aviv: Terrorists took control of a bus; during a shoot-out with the police the attackers fired missiles into the bus; 35 people died and 100 were injured, many of them children;

1993 November 11th. - Israel, Tyre: Suicide bomber drove a car loaded with 1,100 pound of explosives into the Israeli headquarter; 60 people died

1994 April 6th. - Israel, Afula: suicide attack on a school bus; 7 people died and 50 were injured.

1994 April 13th. - Israel, Hadera: suicide attack on a commuter bus; 6 people died and 25 were injured.

1994 October 19th. - Israel, Tel Aviv, Dizengoff Street, Bus No.5: A hamas suicide bomber, holding a bag containing 44lbs of explosives blew himself up inside the bus, 22 people were killed and 46 injured.

1994 November 11th. - Israel, Gaza Strip, Netzarim: a Palestinian Islamic Jihads riding a bicycle detonated explosives strapped to his body; 3 soldiers died.

1995 January 22nd. - Israel, Beit Lid junction: A suicide bomber blew himself up at a time, when the area was packed with soldiers. Many people were injured in this first explosion. When soldiers, civilians, and emergency workers rushed in to help the injured people, another terrorist blew himself up. The second explosion was even more fatal. Finally 21 people were killed and 34 injured. It was later discovered that a another terrorist with a third(!) device was supposed to go off, but he had fed the scene.

1995 April 9th. - Israel, Gaza Strip, near Kfar Darom: a bus was hit by a van that was loaded with explosives; 8 people died.

1995 July 24th. - Israel, Tel Aviv, Ramat Gam, Bus No. 20: A suicide bomber, seated in the center of the bus, blew himself up; 7 people died, 32 were injured.

1995 August 21st. - Israel, northern part of Jerusalem, Bus No. 26: suicide bomber activated explosives inside the bus close to a school; 5 people were killed and 107 injured.

1996 February 25th. - Israel, center of Jerusalem, Bus No. 18: suicide bomber blew himself up inside a bus filled with soldiers and workers; 26 people died and 44 sustained injuries.

1996 February 25th. - Israel, Ashkelon: Suicide terrorist blew himself up at a soldiers' pick-point. One person was killed, 34 others injured.

1996 March 3rd. - Israel, Jerusalem, Bus No. 18: Suicide bomber blew himself up inside the bus; 18 people died, dozens were injured.

1996 March 4th. - Israel, Tel Aviv, Dizengoff shopping center: Suicide bomber blew himself up at the entrance of the mall which was packed with children enjoying a festival. 14 people died, 157 were injured.

1997 March 21st. - Israel, Tel-Aviv, Ben-Gurion Boulevard: Suicide bombing in front of a coffee shop; 3 people died and dozens were injured.

1997 July 30th. - Israel, Jerusalem, center of Mahane Yehuda Market: two suicide bombers, standing at the entrances of two packed stores, activated their explosives almost simultaneously; 13 people died and over 120 were injured.

1997 September 4th.
- Israel, Jerusalem: three suicide bombings on the Ben-Yehuda pedestrian mall; 5 people died and 181 were injured.

1998 October 29th. - Israel, Gaza Strip: a terrorist drove an explosives-laden car into an Israeli army jeep escorting a bus with 40 elementary school students from the settlement of Kfar Darom; 1 soldier died.

2000 November 2nd. - Israel, Jerusalem: a Islamic Jihad car bomb exploded near the Mahane Yehuda market; 2 people died and 10 were injured.

2000 November 20th. - Israel, Gaza Strip: a roadside bomb exploded at 7:30 in the morning alongside a bus carrying children from Kfar Darom to school in Gush Katif; 2 adults died and 9 people, including 5 children, were injured.

2000 November 22nd. - Israel, Hadera: a powerful car bomb was detonated alongside a passing bus on main street, when the area was packed with shoppers and people driving home from work; 2 people died and 60 were injured.

2000 December 22nd. - Israel, Northern Jordan Valley: a suicide bomb attack at the Mehola Junction roadside café; the terrorist died and 3 soldiers were injured.

2001 January 1st. -
Israel, Netanya: a Hamas car bomb exploded near a bus stop in the shopping district; 1 person, apparently the attacker, died and about 60 people were injured.

2001 February 8th. - Israel, Jerusalen: car bomb exploded at 4:40 PM in the ultra-Orthodox neighborhood of Beit Yisrael; 4 people suffered minor injuries.

2001 March 1st. - Israel, Wadi Ara, Mei Ami junction: a terrorist detonated a bomb in a Tel Aviv to Tiberias service taxi; 1 person died and 9 were injured.

2001 March 4th. - Israel, Netanya: suicide bombing in downtown; 3 people died and more than 60 were injured.

2001 March 27th. - Israel, Jerusalem: an Islamic Jihad car bomb exploded at 7:40 in the morning in the Talpiot industrial/commercial zone; 7 people were injured.

2001 March 27th. - Israel, Jerusalem, French Hill junction: Hamas suicide bombing directed against a northbound No. 6 bus; 28 people were injured.

2001 March 28th. - Israel, east of Kfar Saba: a Hamas suicide bombing at the Mifgash Hashalom ("peace stop") gas station several hundred meters from an military roadblock near the entrance to Kalkilya; 3 people, including the attacker, died and 4 were injured.

2001 April 22nd. - Israel, Kfar Sava: A Hamas suicide bomber blew himself up near a group of people waiting at a bus stop on the corner of Weizman and Tchernichovsky streets; 2 people, including the attacker, died and 60 were injured.

2001 April 23rd. - Israel, Or Yehuda: car bombing a few kilometers north of Ben-Gurion Airport; despite the area being packed with pre-Independence Day shoppers only 8 people were slightly injured.

2001 April 29th. - Israel, West Bank, Nablus: a suicide bomber blew himself up in a car close to a school bus; the attacker was the only casualty.

2001 May 18th. - Israel, Netanya: suicide bomber detonated explosives at a mall; 6 people died and approximately 100 were injured.

2001 May 25th. - Israel, Hadera: Islamic Jihad suicide bombing using a car at the central bus station; The 2 attackers apparently died, 65 people were injured.

2001 May 27th. - Israel, Jerusalem: a PFLP car bomb exploded in the city center shortly after midnight. There were no injuries.
Another Islamic Jihad bomb exploded at 9:00 am near the intersection of the capital's main Jaffa Road and Heshin Street. The bomb included several mortar shells, some of which were propelled hundreds of meters from the site of the explosion; 30 people were injured, most suffering from shock.

2001 May 30th. - Israel, Netanya: A Islamic Jihad car bomb exploded shortly before 16:00 outside a school while a number of students were still inside the building; 8 people were injured.

2001 June 1st. - Israel, Tel Aviv: suicide bomb attack in front of a crowded beach discotheque on a late Friday evening; 19 people died, 115 were injured.

2001 June 22nd. - Israel, near Dugit in the Gaza Strip: two soldiers died when a jeep with yellow Israeli license plates, supposedly stuck in the sand, blew up as they approached. Hamas claimed responsibility for the attack.

2001 July 2nd. - Israel, Tel Aviv: Two separate PFLP bombs exploded at about 8:20 Monday morning in cars in the suburb of Yehud; 6 pedestrians were lightly injured.

2001 July 9th. - Israel, near the Kissufim crossing point in the southern Gaza Strip: A Hamas Palestinian suicide bomber died in a car-bombing attack, causing no other casualties.

2001 July 16th. - Israel, near the train station in Binyamina: Islamic Jihad suicide bomb attack at a bus stop halfway between Netanya and Haifa at about 19:30 pm; 3 people died and 11 were injured.

2001 August 8th. - Israel, Northern Jordan Valley, near the B'kaot moshav: suicide bomber detonated explosives in his car at a roadblock shortly after 9:00am; the attacker died, 1 soldier was slightly wounded.

2001 August 9th. - Israel, Jerusalem: Suicide bombing at the Sbarro pizzeria on the corner of King George Street and Jaffa Road; 15 people, including 7 children, died and around 150 were injured.

2001 August 12th. - Israel, Kiryat Motzkin: Islamic Jihad suicide bombing in the Wall Street Cafe at 17:30; the attacker died and 21 people were injured.

2001 August 21st. - Israel, Jerusalem: a bomb placed under a car exploded at 14:15 near the Russian Compound in downtown; one woman was treated for shock. A second, very large unexploded bomb was discovered inside the car and dismantled.

2001 September - Northern Israel, near Nahariyah Train Station: suicide bomber killed 3 people and injured 90 others


2001 September 4th. - Israel, Jerusalem: suicide bomber disguised as an Orthodox Jew blew himself up and injured 21 people

2001 September 9th. - Northern Israel: a Hamas suicide bomber blew himself up nearby the Nahariya train station after passengers had departed a train arrived from Tel-Aviv and exited the station; 3 people died and 90 were injured, most of them lightly.

2001 September 9th. - Israel, near Netanya: A car bomb exploded at the Beit Lid junction; the only fatality is believed to be the attacker, 17 other people were injured.

2001 October 1st. - Israel, Jerusalem: a large car bomb exploded in the Talpiot neighborhood; Several people were lightly injured.

2001 October 7th. - Israel, near the entrance of the kibbutz in the Beit She'an Valley: a Palestinian suicide terrorist affiliated with the Islamic Jihad detonated a bomb strapped to his body; 3 people, including the attacker, died.

2001 November 26th.
- Israel, Gaza Strip, Erez crossing point: a Hamas Palestinian suicide bomber killed himself and lightly wounded 2 Border Policemen; the attacker had joined workers waiting to be cleared for entry into Israel.

2001 November 29th. - Israel, near the city of Hadera: suicide bombing on an Egged 823 bus en route from Nazereth to Tel Aviv; 3 people died and 9 were injured.

2001 December 1st. - Israel, Jerusalem, Ben Yehuda Street: explosive devices were detonated by two Hamas suicide bombers close to 11:30 p.m on Saturday night at the pedestrian mall in the center of the city. A car bomb exploded nearby 20 minutes later; 11 people died and up to 180 were injured.

2001 December 1st. Israel, Downtown Jerusalem, Zion Square: three bombings in a row - A Palestinian suicide bomber blew himself up in the Ben Yehuda pedestrian mall, an area crowded with teens at the late Saturday evening. He was followed moments later and yards apart by another suicide bomber.
Less than 20 minutes later, after the arrival of emergency crews, a car bomb exploded only half a block away. At least 12 people died, more than 170 were injured (11 of them critically).

2001 December 2nd. - Israel, Haifa, Rehov Hagiborim, Bus bombing: A suicide bomber blew himself up shortly after noon on Sunday after boarding a crowded bus near the center of Haifa's Hadar neighborhood on an area of peaceful coexistence between Jews and Arabs and also the site of one of the fiercest battle to liberate Haifa in the 1948 War of Independence; the explosive was made of approximately 10 kg mixed with nails, screws, and nuts. 15 people died, 38 were injured.
Hamas claimed responsibility for the Haifa blast, while Hizbullah's radio and television stations expressed support for the attacks.

2001 December 5th. - Israel, Jerusalem, King David Street: a Islamic Jihad suicide bomber blew himself up shortly after 7:30 am; the attacker died and a number of people waiting at a nearby bus stop were lightly injured.

2001 December 9th. - Israel, Haifa: A suicide bomber blew himself up near a bus stop at the Checkpost Junction shortly after 7:30 AM; the attacker died and around 30 people were injured. A second explosive device was found and detonated nearby.

2001 December 12th. - Israel, Gaza Strip, near the community of Neve Dekalim: 4 people traveling in two cars were lightly wounded in a suicide bombing attack at 18:00 p.m.

2002 January 25th. - Israel, Tel Aviv: around 11:15 a.m., a Palestinian suicide bomber detonated explosives outside a cafe on a pedestrian mall near the old central bus station; 25 people were injured.

2002 January 27th. - Israel, Jerusalem, Jaffa: a female terrorist, identified as a Fatah member, armed with more than 10 kilos of explosives, blew herself up; 2 people died and more than 150 were injured.

2002 February 16th. - Israel, Samaria, Karnei Shomron: a suicide bomber from the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine blew himself up on Saturday night at a pizzeria in the shopping mall; 4 people died and 30 were injured.

2002 February 18th. - Israel, Jerusalem, Ma'ale Adumim road: a 32-year-old Policeman was killed by a suicide bomber from the Fatah al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades whom he had stopped for questioning in his car.

2002 February 27th. - Israel, Jerusalem-Modi'in highway: a Palestinian suicide bomber blew herself up at the Maccabim roadblock; 3 police officers were injured.

2002 March 2nd. - Israel, Jerusalem: a Fatah Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigade suicide bombing at 19:15 near a yeshiva in the ultra-Orthodox Beit Yisrael neighborhood in the center of the city where people had gathered for a bar-mitzva celebration. The assailant detonated the bomb next to a group of women waiting with their baby carriages for their husbands to leave the nearby synagogue; 10 people died and more than 50 were injured.

2002 March 5th. - Israel , Afula: a Islamic Jihad suicide bomber blew himself up in an Egged No. 823 bus as it entered the central bus station; 1 person died and scores were injured.

2002 March 7th. - Israel, Samaria, outskirts of Ariel: a PFLP suicide bomber blew himself up in the lobby of a hotel in the commercial center; 15 people were injured.

2002 March 9th. - Israel, Jerusalem, Rehavia neighborhood: a Hamas suicide bomber blew himself up at 22:30 h Saturday night in the crowded Moment cafe at the corner of Aza and Ben-Maimon streets in the center of the city; 11 people died and 54 were injured.

2002 March 17th. - Israel, Northern Jerusalem, French Hill junction: a suicide bomber blew himself up near an Egged bus no. 22; the assailant died and 25 people were lightly injured.

2002 March 20th. - Israel, Musmus junction on Highway 65 (Wadi Ara) near Afula: a Islamic Jihad suicide bombing of an Egged bus No. 823 traveling from Tel Aviv to Nazareth; 7 people, four of them soldiers, died and about 30 were injured.

2002 March 21st. - Israel, Jerusalem, King George Street: a Fatah al-Aqsa Brigades terrorist detonated a bomb, packed with metal spikes and nails, in a crowd of shoppers; 3 people died and 86 were injured.

2002 March 27th. - Israel, Netanya, Park Hotel: a Hamas suicide bomber blew himself up in the midst of the Passover holiday seder with 250 guests; 30 people died and 140 were injured.

2002 March 29th. - Israel, Jerusalem:a female Fatah Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades suicide bomber blew herself up in the Kiryat Yovel supermarket; 2 people died and 28 were injured.

2002 March 30th. - Israel, Tel Aviv, corner of Allenby and Bialik streets: Fatah Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades suicide bombing in a café; 1 person died and 30 were injured.

2002 March 31st. - Israel, Haifa: Hamas suicide bombing in the Matza restaurant of the gas station near the Grand Canyon shopping mall; 15 people died and more than 40 were injured.

2002 March 31st. - Israel, South of Jerusalem, Gush Etzion bloc: afternoon suicide bombing at the emergency medical center in Efrat; 4 people, including a MDA paramedic were injured.

2002 April 1st. - Israel, Jerusalem; a Fatah al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades Palestinian suicide bomber heading toward the city center blew himself up in his car after being stopped at a roadblock; a police officer died.

2002 April 10th. - Israel, near Kibbutz Yagur, east of Haifa: a Hamas suicide bombing on Egged bus #960, en route from Haifa to Jerusalem; 8 people died and 22 were injured.

2002 April 12th. - Israel, Jerusalem, Jaffa road: a female Al-Aqsa Martyrs' Brigades suicide bomber detonated a powerful charge at a bus stop near the entrance to Mahane Yehuda open-air market; 6 people died and 104 were injured.

2002 May 7th. - Israel, Rishon Lezion: a Hamas suicide bomber detonated a powerful charge in the 3rd floor of a crowded club southeast of Tel-Aviv, causing part of the building to collapse; 16 people died and 55 were injured.

2002 May 19th. - Israel, Netanya: a suicide bomber, disguised as a soldier, blew himself up in the market; 3 people died and 59 were injured.

2002 May 20th. - Israel: a suicide bomber, apparently bound for Afula, killed himself after Border Policemen approached him for questioning at a bus stop. There were no other injuries.

2002 May 22nd. - Israel, Rishon Lezion: a suicide bomber detonated himself in the Rothschild Street downtown pedestrian mall; 2 people died and 40 were injured.

2002 May 24TH. - Israel, Tel Aviv: a security guard opened fire on a terrorist attempting to ram a car bomb into the Studio 49 Disco; the bomb exploded prematurely; the attacker died and 5 people were injured.

2002 May 27th. - Israel, Petah Tikva: a Fatah Al-Aqsa Martyrs' Brigades suicide bomber detonated himself near an ice cream parlor outside a shopping mall; 3 people died and 37 were injured.

2002 June 5th. - Israel, Megiddo junction near Afula: a car packed with a large quantity of explosives struck Egged bus No. 830 traveling from Tel-Aviv to Tiberias and exploded; 18 people, including the Islamic Jihad attacker died and 38 were injured.

2002 June 11th. - Israel, Herzliya2002 - a Palestinian suicide bomber set off a relatively small pipe bomb at a shwarma restaurant; a 14-year-old girl died and 15 others were wounded when

2002 June 18th. - Israel, Patt junction: Hamas suicide bombing in Egged bus no. 32A traveling from Gilo to the center of Jerusalem with many schoolchildren aboard; 19 people died and 74 were injured.

2002 June 19th. - Israel, Northern Jerusalem, hitchhiking post at the French Hill intersection: a Fatah Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigade suicide bomber blew himself up at a crowded bus stop shortly after 7:00 P.M., as people were returning home from work; 7 people died and 50 were injured.

2002 July 16th. - Israel , Samaria: an explosive charge was detonated next to the bullet-resistant Dan bus no. 189 traveling from Bnei Brak to Emmanuel bus. The Hamas terrorists waited in ambush, reportedly wearing IDF uniforms, and opened fire on the bus.; 9 people died and 20 others injured.

2002 July 17th. - Israel, Tel Aviv: in a Islamic Jihad double suicide bombing on Neve Shaanan Street near the old central bus station; 5 people died - two Israeli and three foreign workers - and about 40 others were injured

2002 July 30th. - Israel, Jerusalem, Hanevi'im Street: suicide bombing at a felafel stand. The bomber, who died, apparently exploded prematurely; 5 people were slightly injured.

2002 July 31st. - Israel: Hamas bomb planted inside the Frank Sinatra student center cafeteria on the Hebrew University's Mt. Scopus campus exploded; 9 people died and 85 were injured.

2002 August 4th. - Northern Israel, Meron junction: a Hamas suicide bombing of Egged bus No. 361 traveling from Haifa to Safed; 9 people died and 50 were injured

2002 September 18th. - Israel, bus stop at the Umm al Fahm junction: an Islamic Jihad terrorist, who was apparently planning to detonate the bomb after boarding a bus, set the charge off early when approached by the police for questioning; 21-year-old police officer Moshe Hezkiyah died and 3 people were injured.

2002 September 19th. - Israel, Tel-Aviv: a Hamas terrorist detonated a bomb in Dan bus No. 4 on Allenby Street, opposite to the Great Synagogue; 6 people died and 70 were injured.

2002 October 10th. - Israel: a Hamas suicide bomber blew himself up while trying to board Dan bus No. 87 across from Bar-Ilan University on the Geha highway (Route 4); 2 people died and 30 were injured.

2002 October 21st. - Israel, Route 65 between Wadi Ara and Hadera: a No. 841 Egged bus from Kiryat Shmona to Tel-Aviv had pulled over at a bus stop when the Islamic Jihad suicide bomber, from Jenin, driving a jeep containing about 100 kilograms of explosives, approached from behind and detonated; 15 people died and 50 were injured.

2002 October 27th. - Israel, Samaria, Ariel: Hamas suicide bombing at the Sonol gas station; 3 officers, trying to prevent the attacker from detonating the bomb, died and 20 people were injured.

2002 November 4th. - Israel, Kfar Sava:Islamic Jihad suicide bombing at a shopping mall; 3 people died and 70 were injured.

2002 November 21st. - Israel, Jerusalem, Kiryat Menahem neighborhood:
a Hamas suicide bomber on a No. 20 Egged bus on Mexico Street blew himself up in the middle of the rush hour crowd; 11 people died and more than 50 were injured.

2003 January 5th. - Israel, Tel Aviv, near a bus station: double suicide bombing; 22 people died

2003 March 5th. - Israel, Haifa: suicide bus bombing; 17 people died

2003 March 30th. - Israel, Netanya: Islamic Jihad suicide bombing on the pedestrian mall at the entrance to the London Cafe; the attacker died and more than 40 people were injured.

2003 April 24th. - Israel, Kfar Saba: suicide bombing outside a train station: 1 person died

2003 April 30th. - Israel, Tel Aviv: suicide bombing of a beachfront pub; 3 people died

2003 May 17th. - Israel, Hebron: suicide bombing; 2 people died

2003 May 18th. - Israel, Jerusalem, near French Hill: suicide bus bombing; 7 people died

2003 May 19th. - Israel, Afula: suicide bombing at a mall entrance; 3 people died

2003 May 22nd. - Israel, Gaza Strip, near Netzarim: a roadside bomb detonated next to a bus; 9 people were injured.

2003 June 11th. - Israel, Jerusalem, Egged bus #14A outside the Clal building on Jaffa Road: suicide bombing; responsibility claimed by Hamas; 17 people died and more than 100 were injured.

2003 June 19th. - Israel, near Beit Shean: suicide bombing in a grocery store; 1 person died

2003 July 7th. - Israel, Kfar Yavetz: suicide bombing; 1 person died

2003 August 12 - Israel, Haayin and Ariel: separate suicide attacks; 2 people died

2003 August 19th. - Israel, Jerusalem: around 9:00 p.m. local time a suicide bomber blew himself up on a tandem bus no. 2 which had started out at the Western Wall, Judaism's holiest shrine, and was headed to an ultra-Orthodox Jewish neighborhood. One report said among the passengers were members of a family who had celebrated a Bar Mitzvah, the Jewish rite of passage into adulthood for boys, at the Western Wall.

A second bus passing nearby when the explosion went off was also badly damaged; 18 people, including 5 children and up to 5 American citizens died, and more than 100 others were injured.



In a phone call to the media, Islamic Jihad claimed responsibility for the attack, saying it was in revenge for the killing of Sidr, whom Israel has accused of plotting a series of attacks.

Later, Hamas distributed fliers in Hebron, saying the bombing was carried out by one of its supporters. A Hamas leader, Abdel Aziz Rantisi, insisted Hamas was not involved.

2003 September 9th. - Israel, Tzrifin army base, near Rishon Lezion: a suicide bomber wearing civilian clothes and carrying a leather bag containing a 3 - 4 kilogram bomb got out of a car at the bus stop and blew himself up around 5:40 p.m. at a hitchhiking post for soldiers outside a main entrance to military base and Assaf Harofeh Hospital. The assailant was a member of Hamas from the village of Rantis in the West Bank and studied at the Bir Zeit University in Ramallah; 8 Israeli soldiers died, and more than 30 people were injured.

2003 September 9th. - Israel, Jerusalem, Cafe Hillel: a suicide bomber blew himself up at 11:20 p.m. at Cafe Hillel on Emek Refaim St., the main thoroughfare of the German Colony neighborhood. According to an eyewitness, the bomber tried to get into a Pizza Meter restaurant but was rebuffed by a security guard, so he went into the crowded Cafe Hillel next door. The guard at the cafe tried to prevent the bomber from entering, but the bomber managed to get several meters inside. As in the Tzrifin attack, the assailant was a member of Hamas from the village of Rantis in the West Bank and studied at the Bir Zeit University in Ramallah; 7 people died and more than 50 were injured.

Sadly, 51-year-old Dr. David Appelbaum, head the emergency room at Shaare Zedek Hospital, who has treated numerous bomb victims and his daughter Nava, 20, who was to have been married the day after the bombing sustained fatal injuries.

2003 October 3rd. - Israel, Haifa: A 27-year-old Palestinian woman wrapped in explosives blew herself up at lunchtime shortly after 2 p.m. inside the one-story Maxim seaside restaurant popular with both Arabs and Jews. The attack occurred on the Jewish Sabbath and one day before the start of Yom Kippur, the holiest day of the Jewish calendar; The Islamic Jihad group claimed responsibility and identified the female assailant as law school g
raduate from the West Bank town of Jenin, whose brother and a cousin, an Islamic Jihad member, died during an Israeli military raid in June; at least 19 people, including four young children, died and 55 others were injured.


Including this attack there have been 103 suicide bombings in the past three years of Israeli-Palestinian fighting, claiming at least 431 lives.


2003, December 25th, 6 p.m. - Israel, Geha near Tel Aviv: bombing of a bus at the bus stop at Geha, a major junction outside Tel Aviv; the bus on its way to the town of Petah Tikva; the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) claimed responsibility for the suicide attack of a 18-year-old Palestinian; 4 people died and at least 12 were injured

According to Israeli officials the military prevented 22 suicide bombing attempts and 13 other planned attacks between October 4 and December 25.
