Bomb Threats


2001 March 10th. U.K., Manchester: after receiving a series of bomb threats, 479 people were evacuated from a Pakistan International Airlines Boeing 747 traveling from the Pakistani cities of Karachi and Lahore, destined for New York City, with a scheduled stopover in Manchester.

After the evacuation the plane was towed to a remote area, while ARFF units were standing by. During the operation one runway was shut down.
